DESCRIPTION
Carolina Vacation Lodging ranges from large
attractive vacation homes that will
accommodate large groups to small economy "camping cottages" or basic issue
motel rooms. The kitchens are fully
equipped with basic dishes and cookware, and basic appliances including
microwaves, coffee makers, toasters & etc. Houses, chalets and cottages
have TV & VCR. Guests may choose two free videos per night from the local
Nantahala Food Mart video rental collection. There is no TV signal in the
mountains. Nantahala Motel has cable
TV. A variety of the vacation rental homes have satellite TV reception. The
lodging has electric heat and air conditioning. Fireplace available. Outdoor
charcoal grills are provided. Lodging facilities will sleep small parties or
large groups. Roll-away beds are available on request. The decks and porches
have simple to scenic views of the surrounding mountains. Wonderful vacation
retreats at affordable prices!
The posted rental
rates do NOT include linens. Guests bring their own sheets and towels. Linen
rentals are available by request at the following additional fees: Sheet Sets:
$10.00 per set (includes 2 sheets & 2 pillow cases) Towel Sets: $5.00 per
set (includes 1 bath towel, 1 hand towel, & 1 wash cloth).
Appalachian Trail
hikers arriving in the Nantahala Gorge at NOC who want to rent overnight
cottage lodging may call Nantahala Food Mart at 800-468-7238 to arrange free
shuttle transportation from the trail to the cottages, and then back to the
trail.
