Carolina Outfitters
Rafting offers employment opportunities on the Nantahala River in Western North
Carolina. We hire whitewater rafting guides, bus drivers, desk managers,
cashiers, photographers, and telephone reservation personnel. We want to hire
competent, well adjusted individuals who are excellent in dealing with people,
and who will enjoy working in the outdoor recreation industry.
Our season begins in
April and ends sometime in October when the weather gets too cold for
whitewater rafting on the Nantahala. Our busiest season, and the time of year
that we employ most of our personnel is June July and August. This time period
works out great for college students who want to do river guiding for the
summer, teachers who want to work in retailing or desk management, and for
school bus drivers (CDL license required) who want to drive raft buses while
school is out for the summer. We will work with you on your college/school
schedule. We have both full time and part time work.
You may send us your
info on the
EMPLOYMENT
APPLICATION. Our wage levels are competitive. Email us if you need further information. US Forest
Service regulations require that Nantahala River guides be at least 18 years of
age. All guides must have Red Cross First Aid and CPR as well as additional
guide training available to you through Carolina Outfitters. Check our website
